Steve Martin Born Standing Up Review and Tina Fey's Bossy Pants Review

Today I will be reviewing Steve Martin's Born Standing Up which is his autobiography and is about his  life.  It really tells how Steve Martin came from nothing and became one of the best comedian's of the 2000's and became a great actor.  This is a great book that really tells about his life so far and is intended for a mature audience such as my self.

Also, I have recently read Tina Fey's Book Bossy Pants (which was Tina Fey's autobiography and she also gives tips) and it was a good book.  I learned from it that she created 30 Rock and got her rise to stardom by pretending to be Sarah Palin in SNL.  Overall it was a good book and is intended for a mature audience like the other book.

Playing for Pizza Preview and Skipping Christmas Review

Hello audience and today I will be talking about another book by John Grisham called playing for pizza.  It is a comedy book about a NFL (National Fuse Ball League) quarter back who does a very bad play that makes the owner kick him out of the NFL.  He comes to an offer with a football team in Italy and it really tells how much he only knows about his culture. As far as I have read, it is a great book and a very funny one at that.  To go find out what football is, click here.

Today I will also be reviewing Skipping Christmas by John Grisham.  I didn't actually read all of it because I saw the movie.  Basically, the parents in the movie try to skip Christmas because there daughter went away but then they find out that she got engaged and they go through all sorts of calamities to put together a Christmas when she returns.  It is a very good comedy and I see why it was turned into a comedy.  To go to John Grisham's website click here to check out these amazing books.

Parker's Amazing Book List and an Extrordinary List of Pie Recipes.

Hello audience and today my pop-pop told me to read a new book and a chose another book by John Grisham almost similar to the Broker except it is a comedy and is set in America for most of the plot.  To get more information on this book click here or here or maybe here.  Later in this blog thingy, I will give a brief summary of this book later in this amazing entry but first here is a list of my summer reading.

1. Gone by Michael Grant

2.The Lost Symbol By Dan Brown

3. Angels and Demons By Dan Brown

4. The Harry Potter Series (look it up)

5. Playing For Pizza By John Grisham

I will update this list normally so you don't feel sad about me having low expectations this summer.

Now for the best part of all...  My Master Piece of a pie collection.  So far it includes apple pie, here is how you make it...

Step One: Buy a apple and a pastry pan at your local Kroger.

Step Two: Mash the apple in the pastry dish for ten to fifteen minutes.

Step Three: Put the fresh pie in the oven and cook the pie at two hundred degrees for twenty four hours. If your stove is overheating, buy a new house and get a new stove.

The Book Skipping Christmas is basically as the name implies, a married couple are skipping Christmas.  Two mildly old people say good bye to there daughter as she goes away and the two decide to go on a cruise in remorse that goes to the Carribean and they go through all sorts of wild and funny thingies.  To go to site click here.

Parker's Favorite Books

Hello audience, and I have started up a blog about the books that I read and I then will give reviews. Today I will be telling the viewer what my favorite books.

Some of my favorite books are fiction because it really captures your imagination.  I will also be telling about why I made this blog and what books I would recommend in this blog in later days.  My favorite books right now are the Da Vinci Code, the Broker, and the Giver.  I like this books because they are very imaginative and have a plot twist on almost every page.  Again my favorite genre is  fiction because almost anything can happen in the book.  I usually read about every other week when there are dull  moments in my life.  A few of the books that I have read in the past year are very good and are very lengthy.  Some of them are the Da Vinci Code, the Broker, Mockingjay and the Giver and I read them because they are all very fun books to read and very enjoyable. I like fiction better than non-fiction because you can imagine more when reading them and every thing is possible when reading them unlike non-fiction that is based on events in history

If I had to imagine a favorite book type it would have to have adventure in it, have funny and intelligent characters in it, and have very good plot to it.  It would have to be fiction because the writing in the book could not happen in real life.  The plot would have to involve mythology of some sort and tie it to the present and the characters would have to cope with the mythology in the book.

I signed up to take "Blogging about Reading" because at this splendid private school I wanted to read more while also increase my smarts by reading.  Also I signed up for this class because the Spanish Class was cancelled.
